7:00pm - 10:00pm
Wolf Creek Tavern is one of the most beautiful, historic pubs in the Northeast Ohio area! Located on Wadsworth Road in Norton, the Tavern was established in 1840. It has the distinction of being a stop on the Underground Railroad, a former (and current!) speakeasy, and gives you the feeling of stepping back in time. We perform on the 2nd Saturday of every month.

Wolf Creek Tavern

Since 1840, the Tavern has welcomed weary travelers, civil war veterans, stage coaches, thirsty prohibitionists, farmers, politicians, business owners, firemen, lawmen and (lucky for owner Shane Moore) even Irishmen. The tavern boasts a beautifully restored speakeasy in the basement.

Prohibition went into effect on January 17th, 1920 and lasted until December 5th, 1933. During those 13 years, when the sale and manufacturing of alcohol was illegal, the basement of Wolf Creek Tavern served as a “speakeasy”. People sat at the bar, which is a chestnut tree trunk sliced in half, and night after night they drank away their woes.Grady Miller

Today the speakeasy lives again, and every Friday & Saturday evening from 6pm, they serve prohibition era cocktails using their original recipes. Enjoy a Bees Knees, a Pink Lady or maybe a Scoflaw, plus many more specialty cocktails. Their bartenders will tell you stories of underground railroads, secret tunnels and ghostly spirits, while they bring old cocktail recipes to life in a glass. Simply put, sitting at the chestnut tree bar, while drinking a prohibition era cocktail, will transform you back many decades in history to a time when the Tavern had all sorts of characters pass through.
